The construction market in St. Louis is as strong as it’s been in recent memory. With announcements about phase two of Ballpark Village and the Cupples X development, there’s no indication of it slowing down anytime soon. This recent construction boom has no doubt been a breath of fresh air to many companies who struggled through the recession, but rapid growth can be accompanied by its own set of problems.
On one hand, an increase in sales can be great for a company’s brand and bottom line. On the other hand, during periods of expansion, organizational and managerial changes are inevitable. These changes, if not properly addressed, can become a distraction and may result in a business not fully capitalizing on the opportunities in front of it.
